NVBUA Uniform Bulletin

By Ron Adamczyk, NVBUA Uniform Committee

The NVBUA Uniform Committee and the Board of Directors have recently updated the uniform policy to clarify the transition to black as the association-standard shirt color for 2027 and to add detailed high school information.

For those of you who might need gently used equipment and/or uniforms, we are in the process of collecting those items and will soon be distributing them by me, Ron Adamczyk. For Virginia, the plan is to bring the inventory to the first on-field training for new umpires on Sunday, March 1st, at Fairfax HS.

We all know that equipment and uniforms are a significant expense for anyone becoming an umpire. The gathering and distribution of that equipment and uniforms goes a long way toward easing those expenses, so people don’t have to buy everything new.

Umpires who have equipment to donate should bring equipment to Fairfax HS around 11 AM on the 1st to distribute to the rookies during lunch hour break. On-going, you can bring your equipment donation to Ron Adamczyk when you work with him. Further updates on collections and distributions will be determined, and we will continue to keep you updated here at Blue Crew News.

For Maryland, please contact Tim Anderson, who likewise has equipment inventory at [email protected].
